Our Shellac French Manicure generally takes these steps:
Step 1: Prepare your nails
Thoroughly clean your nails before applying a Shellac French manicure. Cut and file your nails if needed.
Step 2: Apply the base coat
Starting at the base of the nail, brush on the base coat, moving the brush slowly up to the tip. Distribute a smooth layer of base coat across each nail. Before applying another coat, place your hands under the UV nail lamp for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Paint a straight thin line of white polish across the tip
Open your bottle of Shellac nail polish and trace a single thin line of white polish across the tip of the nail. Again, put your nails under the UV lamp for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Apply translucent nude nail polish
Apply broad strokes of translucent nude nail polish starting at the base of the nail. Dry your nails under the lamp for 2 more minutes.
Step 5: Wipe fingers clean
Use alcohol wipes to wipe around the edges of your freshly painted nails to remove nail polish residue, being careful not to harm the actual manicure.
